This matched pair of exceptionally rare vanadium-bearing dravite crystals, totaling 0.79 grams, comes from the Pyan Gyi Mine in Burma (Myanmar). Each crystal measures between 7 mm and 12 mm and exhibit a rich forest green color with a slight blueish hue, similar to the best Colombian emeralds. These crystals owe their coloration to minor vanadium content within their crystal structure. Their sparkling, rose-like dipyramidal structures are evidence that they were carefully extracted from their contact matrix.

These dravites are quite special because typically the color of this form of tourmaline is brown or yellowish-brown. Green dravites are extremely rare, especially in this size and from the legendary gem fields of Burma.
