Phenakite is one of the rarest minerals on earth with only a handful of sources and tiny amounts coming out of most currently mined pockets. Phenakite from Ukraine tends to be gem quality (clear) with etchings on the stone and is a semi-flat disc shape that this location is famous for. 

This stone is a whole crystal and has exquisite clarity and etchings that are a natural part of the crystal’s growth habit for this locale. It's shape is unique and resembles a wing or wave.

• Better: slightly cloudy to somewhat clear transparency with minor inclusions, etchings, or light discoloration. Found in almost all Phenakite locations.
• Best: Highest grade and most vibrationally potent. Ultra-high transparency (crystal clear with ability to read text through the stone) of at least 90-95% with little to no inclusions or discoloration. Typical of Phenakite from Nigeria, Burma (Myanmar) and sometimes Ukraine.
